Hey, I’m Mel, also known as The Urban Freelancer!

Born and raised across the pond in the UK, I moved to Canada in my 20s, I came up in the tech industry (fun fact: I used to configure IBM servers for huge, well known corporations!) – a career I loved but after having children I wanted to find a career that made my soul happy. In that search I dabbled in small business where I met many of the amazing local brands that are on the scene making noise today. In Vancouver we are lucky to have a culture that seems extra in tune with women entrepreneurs and I was lucky enough to work alongside many of them. As my mind turned to web development and business solutions, I had the pleasure of working with many of these local businesses doing logo designs, branding, packaging, web development and so much more. As these businesses grew, I grew too. I honed my skills and curated an amazing team of senior developers.

Before you knew it I had found my passion, not only as a web developer, designer, etc, but as a full business development service.
